Naidu warns of rebellion against corruption

babu-angerFormer chief minister and TDP chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu today warned of a people’s rebellion against the Centre if the government doesn’t take stronger measures to end corruption and continues to harass anti-corruption activists.

Speaking to media persons after leading a TDP demonstration at the Ambedkar statue on Tank Bund in Hyderabad to mark his protest against the arrest of social activist Anna Hazare in Delhi, Chandrababu Naidu supported the demand for the strongest law to punish the corrupt politicians irrespective of their positions.

Condemning the arrest of Hazare and his supporters, Naidu said the government has been harassing the Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev for his support to the anti-corruption crusade. “The arrest of Hazare and the treatment meted out to Ramdev reminds us of emergency days. The PM has surrendered to the corrupt forces,” he said.

The TDP president demanded the government to bring all the chief ministers and even the Prime Minister within the purview of the Lok Pal Bill.
