Hours after the Supreme Court dismissed the two Special Leave Petitions (SPLs) of the YSR congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy today, both congress and TDP leaders lambasted Jagan for his stance on the CBI investigation.
Asking Jagan to cooperate fully with the CBI investigation into his alleged illegal wealth, congress and TDP asked Jagan not to mislead the public on the issue.
TDP leader Mr Revanth Reddy told a media conference in Hyderabad that it was meaningless for the pro-Jagan congress MLAs to resign quoting the mention of YSR name in the FIR. “YSR is the basic source for the high level corruption in the state and if YSR had been alive today the CBI would have mentioned him as the first accused in the FIR,” said Revanth Reddy finding fault with pro-Jagan MLAs for their resignations.
Minister DL Ravindra Reddy, in a separate press conference in Hyderabad, demanded the confiscation of the properties of Jagan if he is proved guilty in the case. “Jagan needs to give an explanation on how he earned this much wealth and how he promoted so many companies,” he said.
While AICC general secretary Mr P. Sudhakar Reddy and congress whip in the assembly Mr K. Murali asked Jagan to stop throwing mud on the CBI, TDP senior leader Erram Naidu said there was no need for Jagan to approach the apex court of the country when he was not at fault.
