The president of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), Mr P.L. Punia, on Wednesday directed the Delhi police to file a charge sheet and arrest TRS MLA Mr T. Harish Rao for slapping the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the AP Bhavan in Delhi few days ago.
It might be recalled that Harish Rao slapped repeatedly Mr Chander Rao, the OSD at the AP Bhavan in Delhi for not allowing into its premises the dead body of Mr Yadi Reddy who had committed suicide demanding the formation of Telangana state. After the incident, Mr Chander Rao lodged a complaint to the Commission.
When the case came up for hearing on Wednesday, Mr Punia called the Delhi police and the victim and sought evidence from them. The police officials submitted photos and video clippings pertaining to the incident. After examining the video clippings and photos, he ordered the police to file charge sheet and arrest Harish Rao.
