Arrested mining czar and former Karnataka Minister Mr Gali Janardhan reddy strongly believes that the sins of human beings are washed away by huge donations to Gods and Goddesses.

And with a view to wash off his sins accumulated through illegal mining in AP and Karnataka which made him amass wealth to the tune of nearly Rs.20, 000 Cr, Janardhan reddy made abundant gold presentations to several Gods and Goddesses in AP, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. However, his charity for the Almighty did not liberate him off his sea of sins which was the reason for his landing in jail.

As per the details submitted to the IT department, the tainted Gali brothers made presentations of 32 diamond-studded golden crowns worth Rs. 250 Cr to several temples in the three states. A major chunk of the golden presentations went to the Lord Balaji who received three of the 32 crowns.

The first one was presented to the TTD when the YSR Government allotted land to the Brahmani Steels owned by him. He gave away the second presentation when he got license for the Obulapuram Mining Company and the third one when YSR became the chief minister for second time in 2009.

When Jagan won the Kadapa seat with a bumper majority in the Kadapa by election, Janardhan reddy gifted a diamond-studded golden crown worth Rs.12 Cr to the Goddess Jnana Prasunamba at Srikalahasti.
