Determined to come out the rugged jail environs and enjoy the normal public life like you and me, Ramalinga Raju, the former chairman of the Satyam computers, who was responsible for the accounting fraud of Rs.14, 000 Cr, has been going from pillar to post for bail.
After being rejected bail twice by the CBI court at Nampally in Hyderabad and the state High Court separately, the mega fraudster has once again approached the Supreme Court for bail with a special leave petition (SLP) today.
Last year, Ramalinga Raju was rejected bail by the Supreme Court once. It asked him to approach the trial court only for bail after July 31 if the trial didn’t complete by then. He then sought bail twice in the trail court and then again twice in the High Court but he couldn’t succeed in obtaining bail.
