Even as the CBI continued with the interrogation of the tainted former Karnataka Minister Mr. Gali Janardhan reddy and his brother in law Mr Srinivasa reddy at its office in Koti in Hyderabad today, four special teams left for Bangalore and Bellary this morning and began searches in the houses of relatives and friends of the arrested duo who are in CBI custody now.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has cancelled the land allotted to Lakshmi Aruna and Mr Karunakara reddy, wife and brother of Mr Gali Janardhan reddy respectively. A land of 17 cents to Karunakara reddy and a piece of 38 cents for Aruna were allotted in Bangalore by the state government as they said they didn’t own land in city. The state government has now taken back the land.
Reports said that some of the followers of Gali brothers and those who have business dealings with them have gone underground for fear of CBI raids. Some of them, belonging to Ananthapuram and Bellary, have simply disappeared. “They must have gone abroad,” commented a police official.
