The special CBI court at Nampally in Hyderabad today extended the judicial remand of the arrested mining mafia don, Mr Gali Janardhan reddy and his brother - in- law, Mr Srinivasa reddy till October 3.
As their custody period ended today, the CBI produced both of them before the special court seeking the extension of their custody for which the court agreed. After the court delivered its orders extending their custody, the CBI sent them to the Chanchalguda jail.
CBI raids Gali friends’ houses
As part of its investigations into the illegal mining case registered against Gali Janardhan reddy, the CBI today raided the houses of Janardhan reddy’s close friends, Mr Swastik Nagarj and K. Mahesh at Hospet in Karnataka and seized huge amount of cash and some key documents from them.
Both of them were said to have cooperated with Gali brothers in illegal mining in the Ananthapuram district and its adjoining areas in Karnataka.
CBI continues to question Emaar villa owners
Several persons who bought villas in the Emaar estates today attended before the CBI questioning session in the APIIC-Emaar scam.
