The adverse affect of the mass general strike reached Gods in the temples of Telangana and the worst affected were the Gods and Goddesses of Warangal district.
Archakas of nearly 800 temples today boycotted their temple duties across the Warangal district in support of the mass general strike and led a massive procession in Warangal town raising slogans in favour of the separate state.
The procession, also attended by the Telangana employees working in the Endowments department, attracted the attention of the local people as the participants recited Vedic Mantras in rhythm in support of the separate state.
The rally was conducted from Hanumakonda Public Gardens to the Kaloji Junction in the town. A leader of the Archaka union said they were planning to participate in indefinite strike in support of the mass general strike and for the cause of the separate state.
