Even as the mass general strike by more than four lakh employees of the Telangana region entered its 18th day today bringing state administration to a halt across Telangana, Congress party bigwigs in Delhi have turned busy finding a solution to the nagging problem of Telangana.
Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs in AP, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad has submitted a report to the party president Sonia Gandhi containing his recommendations on the action to be taken in the light of the discussions he held with congress leaders of both Telangana and Seema Andhra in the last two months.
Later, the congress president will take a decision on the issue after holding final consultations with all concerned in the next few days.
KCR and team to arrive in Delhi today
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao is slated to arrive in New Delhi later this evening to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil to morrow.
The Telangana political JAC convener, Prof. Kodanda ram reddy and leaders of state government employee associations will leaver for Delhi tomorrow morning. The Telangana protagonists will hold consultations with the central ministers and congress party Chief Sonia Gandhi on the issue tomorrow and day after.
