In a key development, Governor ESL Narasimhan was today asked to fly to Delhi by the office of the Prime Minister for important consultations on Telangana.
The Governor’s visit to Delhi gains significance in the wake of reports that the Centre has been seriously working on solutions to the nagging Telangana imbroglio at the earliest.
Sources said Narasimhan will brief the Prime Minister on the political scenario in the state and also on the Government employees’ mass general strike which has entered its 25th day today.
Meanwhile, Narasimhan, who is on a pilgrimage to Tirumala, told journalists that he would leave for Delhi this evening to meet top central leaders and PM tomorrow on important issues concerning AP.
“I will discuss various issues with the PMO but I am not at liberty to disclose them to the media or any body else,” he replied when asked about the issues to be discussed.
He said he prayed in the Tirumala temple that good things should happen to the state of AP and the people should live in peace for ever. When asked how the Government is going to tackle the mass general strike that has crippled the state administration, he said God would show solutions to all problems of the state.
The Governor said that he has not sent any report to the Centre on the happenings in the state and asked media not to speculate on such things.
