Hyderabad police were put on alert following a Tollywood filmy-like encounter between four unidentified miscreants and the Madapur police personnel this morning.

The miscreants, who came in a car, threatened a person at Madapur and then fled but police began chasing them after receiving information from the threatened person. The miscreants, with the fear of being caught, responded with gun fire on the chasing police.

Senior police officers said that the police returned the fire immediately injuring one of the group members. The miscreants ran away from the place leaving the injured person and the car behind.

Police took the injured person into custody and admitted him into a hospital. “He is out of danger and he will be questioned soon after being discharged from the hospital,” said police.
