The Telangana political JAC today issued a Fatwa to the congress MLAs and ministers of the T region asking them not to attend the Rachhabanda programme of the government beginning tomorrow.
Issuing the decree, the JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram asked the government not to obstruct the protest activities of the JAC activists tomorrow on the occasion of the AP Formation Day. “The JAC activists will hoist black flags as a mark of protests on Nov 1 and we warn the government not to obstruct our activities,” he told a media conference in Hyderabad.
Defying the diktats of the JAC convener, BC welfare minister Mr Basavaraju Saraiah said he would attend the Rachhabanda programme as it has nothing to do with the separate state of Telangana.
“Our participation in Rachhabanda is no way connected to the creation of Rachhabanda programme. We will participate in the developmental activities of the region while striving to achieve Telangana state,” he told newspersons.
Expressing hope the congress MLAs who joined the TRS would come back to the party fold, Saraiah asked his colleagues not to criticize those who have left the party.
