The fight among the Ganja smuggling gangs have reached a crescendo in the Visakhapatnam agency area.
Rival gangs last night attacked one Mr Ramana, a noted 40-year old Ganja smuggler on a main road at BC Patnam of Rolugunta Mandalam and burnt him alive.
Reports said he was returning with one Lakshmi on his motor cycle from Rolugunta when his rivals stopped him. They asked the woman to leave the place, poured kerosene on him and lit the fire.
The woman complained to the police and when police reached the spot, his torched body was found on the road.
Reports said that Mr Ramama struggled to escape from them but the attackers beat him with iron rods and made him unconscious. They then poured kerosene on him and torched him to death.
