
The CBI, investigating the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Mr Gali Janardhan reddy, submitted a detailed report to the Supreme Court. The CBI said in its earlier report that Gali Janardhan reddy owned-OMC had resorted to illegal mining in Bellary and other places of Karnataka and exported it to several countries in the name of OMC.
However, the division bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Kapadia has asked for a more detailed report with all documentary evidence against the OMC and its owner Gali.
Based on this, the CBI has submitted its report on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the CBI office at Bellary has served notices on all the owners of heavy trucks in the district asking them to appear before them with all the details of iron ore they had transported to various ports in the country from Bellary and other places.
The heavy trucks were asked to submit the permit papers and the details of the drivers engaged in the transports of iron ore over the years.
