A personal vendetta left fifteen families grain-less near Peddapadu village in Srikakulam district, late last night. After reaping the crop the villagers stacked the dried grains in a heap which were to be removed of husk. The happy villagers went to bed only to wake up to see their stacks go up in flames, vendetta is suspected in the event.

Late last night fifteen heaps of husked grains were set ablaze by unknown miscreants. The blaze moved briskly and razed the grains to ashes even before the fire protection force could try their best to save the grains. In the incident nearly thirty acres produce was turned into ashes. The suffered wail that it is just the grudge that has resulted in this dastardly incident. The whole strenuous efforts adopted by them to farm the stacks, has been reduced to ashes said the distressed farmers.
