Ramoji, others move SC against HC orders

After the TDP Chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu announced he would not move the Supreme Court against the AP High Court orders directing the CBI to probe his alleged indulgence and amassing of wealth by doing favours to his allies during his Chief Ministership, his allies including the Eenadu group Chairman Ramoji Rao and some others approached the Supreme Court today.

Along with Ramoji Rao, TDP leaders Nama Nageswara rao, Sujana Choudary and civil contractor Mr CM Ramesh filed separate petitions in the SC challenging the HC orders to probe the alleged favours done to them by Chandrababu during his regime as chief minister.

Based on a PIL filed by Pulivendula YSR Congress MLA Ms. YS Vijayamma, the widow of the late YSR, the High Court had ordered the CBI, ED and other agencies to probe the land allotments and sanctioning of various projects to his allies by Chandrababu during his Chief Ministership and submit a report to it within three months.

Actor turned real estate business man Mr Muralimohan also announced he would challenge the HC decision in the SC.

Meanwhile, Vijayamma filed a caveat petition in the Supreme Court on the issue urging the apex court not to give any directions on their petitions without serving notice to her. (JUB)
