Telangana JAC to meet today for discuss action plan

The separatist protestors demanding a separate statehood out of the unified Andhra Pradesh, to be carved into Telangana are meeting to chart an action plan. The various groups of protestors under the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) would meet today at 11 am at Vasavi Kalyana Mandapam in Khairtabad, Hyderabad, will also discuss the proposed Telangana yatra by freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji.

T-JAC Prof M Kodandaram speaking to the media on Tuesday said that the steering committee would discuss the action plan for the next phase of statehood agitation. It would also discuss the strategies to be adopted by the Telangana MPs and MLAs in the winter session of Parliament and state legislative assembly.

Mr.Kodandaram said, it is unity that will get them closer to their objective. He also appreciated all the representatives of the T-JAC for their unison.

Meanwhile the bold announcement of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati seeking division of Uttar Pradesh into four new states earlier will have both its positive and negative effect on their cause felt the Telangana loyalists. While they are happy that the Telangana argument has "become stronger" with the Mayawati government's move, a section of them are apprehensive that it could also lead to another argument on the need for constitution of the second States Re-organization Commission.
