Rumors are three of the PRP are to get key portfolios while Kiran Sarkar announces expansion. This must have been the treaty for merger.
The merger of the Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress in the state has been much in the news and the PRP MLAs are going to have a jolly day soon with three of them to be inducted in the cabinet expansion in the state shortly. There is a hustle of activity in the PRP camp with the aspirants expected to leave for New Delhi for meeting important leaders and try their luck in a day or two.
Earlier the PRP President K Chiranjeevi seems to have knocked on the doors of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi on this issue and suggested a few names of his party MLAs in this context during his maiden meeting with the Super woman at New Delhi, after the merger. And the Congress high command also seems to have given a green signal on the issue, pending the last ten months since the merger.
Three berths are likely to be given for those who came from the PRP. MLC C Ramachandraiah and MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao are certain of their induction into the cabinet. Prominent leaders have started campaigning vigorously to brighten their chances for the third berth. And among them are Bandaru Satyananda Rao, Vanga Gita and Kannababu from East Godavari district and Vellamapalli Srinivasa Rao from Krishna district. And the last one seems to enjoy the blessings of the former Chief Minister and the now the governor of Tamil Nadu K Rosaiah. But there seems to be lots of speculation on the allotment and who is to be accommodated with another Congress leader D Srinivas throwing his weight in the ring.
