TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu launched a blistering attack on the congress government observing that the condition of farmers in the state is very pitiable but the government has been caring a pig for them.
Launching his Rytu Poru Bata from Palewada in Adilabad district today in Telangana, Naidu said the congress has been busy organizing its flock together in the state and has no time for the farmers despite crop holidays and drought.
Lamenting that the farmers are suffering due to lack of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their agricultural produce, Chandrababu said the farmers must be necessarily protected by the government.
Assuring that the NTR Trust would release funds to the Palewada community hall, Naidu said it was unfortunate the government was not in a position to complete the projects launched by his TDP government years ago.
“In the name Tiger Project, the government has been driving away tribals from the forests. Are the tigers more important for the government than its people?” asked the former chief minister during his Padayatra.
Naidu met several farmers and inquired about their problems as part of his Rytu Poru Bata. Meanwhile, police arrested several TRS activists for trying to obstruct the Yatra of Naidu. Police have taken some TRS leaders into preventive custody ahead of the Yatra. (JUBS)
