The Hyderabad police today arrested a SIMI-sponsored terrorist who was most wanted by the Madhya Pradesh and UP police.

The Nampally criminal court remanded Muneer to judicial custody till Dec 29 when he was produced before it by the Narayanaguda Police.

Narayanaguda police were shocked to learn that Mr Muneer was staying in a house just a stone’s throw away from their police station for the last four years undetected. He also managed to get ration card and a cooking gas connection.

Police are now digging deep into his history of criminality and terrorism, according to reports. Police said Muneer was attracting young persons into terrorism by conducting speeches in secret sessions. (JUBS)
