Textiles minister Sankara rao today conducted a review meeting of his ministry sitting on floor in his chambers in the H block of the secretariat protesting against the Government’s reluctance to allot furniture to his chamber.

Sankara Rao called the officers of his ministry and asked them to sit on floor and then reviewed the decisions of his ministry.

Later, he told newsmen that he had written to the Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi two months ago seeking furniture to his chambers but noting happened till now. “The government seems to be in no mood to listen to me on the issue,” he said.

“I have no other alternative except for conducting the review sitting on floor,” he said. Sankara Rao moved to the H Block two months ago from Block A and immediately asked the CS to provide required furniture in his new chambers. (JUBS)
