PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana said his family members owned liquor shops but rejected the allegations that he is a liquor don.
Reacting to reports that he controls a huge liquor kingdom and the recent ACB raids were aimed at his mafia activities, Botsa said his family members owned liquor shops only in Vijayanagaram district and no where else in the state.
“Truly, there are some liquor shops to my family members. They are limited to the Vijayanagaram district. If TDP proves my family owned liquor shops anywhere else, those shops would be handed over to the TDP leaders,” Botsa told a media conference in Hyderabad today.
Rejecting the TDP allegations that he has been running a liquor mafia, Botsa said he would fight to the finish in case TDP approaches a court of law against him. “I will not run away like Chandrababu if TDP files case against me. I will not seek stay but I will fight legally,” he said.
Botsa also rejected media reports that chief minister Kirankumar reddy ordered ACB raids on liquor syndicates with a view to control some ministers including himself. “It is part of the drive to curb corruption in the administration and nothing else,” said Botsa unperturbed. (JUBS)
