Y. Srilakshmi, suspended IAS officer and accused number 4 in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy, today filed her counter in the state high court in response to the CBI petition which sought the cancellation of bail granted to her by the special CBI court.

The special court granted bail to Srilakshmi after she spent one day in the Chanchalguda jail following her arrest by the CBI for her involvement in the case. Later, the CBI challenged her bail in the high court.

While adjourning the hearing on the CBI petition to Dec 29, the court asked Srilakshmi to file her counter on or before Dec 26. (JUBS)
