Ambati Rambabu, another close associate of YSR Congress Leader Jagan Mohan Reddy is summoned by the CBI for Investigating, in the Emaar case. In fact Mr. Rambabu was the Chairman of AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation when the scam took place. He was summoned only as a witness. But speculators feel that the CBI stands may vary at any moment, depending on the interrogation. That only means he could be arrested too. Mr. Rambabu told the CBI that he would appear before the investigating agency, on January 8, to give his version.

In fact as a spokesperson for YSR Congress, Mr. Rambabu was a loyalist to Mr. Jagan, who had been interrogated in the disproportionate assets case. If at all, he is arrested, as per speculators then it would be a huge blow to the YSR Chief. This would be the second major setback to         Mr. Jagan after his man-Friday Vijay Sai Reddy of Jagathi Publications was arrested by the CBI, in the same case.

It may be noted that on Wednesday, CBI felt that Mr. Vijay was the kingpin in the illegal assets case. CBI expressed that there is a need to interrogate Mr. Vijay to know more details of investments into Mr. Jagan’s companies, as the investigating agency felt he had exclusive knowledge on the same.
