TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who reached Lakshmakka Palli in Kodagandla Mandal of Warangal district safely along with his huge convoy amid heavy security, offered prayers at the local temple in the village and began his Rytu Poru Bata.
The Padayatra, spanning up to11 km, will end up at Palakurthy and culminate in a public meeting in the evening.
TRS and JAC cadres, hell bent on blocking his yatra in the district, resorted to hurling stones on the convoy of Chandrababu at several places in Hyderabad and Nalgonda and Warangal districts as the TDP chief began his journey from his Jubilee Hills residence earlier in the morning.
Throughout the tense journey from Hyderabad, police responded with teargas shells and lathi charge to retaliate the attacks by TRS and JAC cadres.
Attack on Errabilli house
Some unidentified persons hurled a petrol bottle on the house of senior TDP leader Errabilli Dayakara rao at Hanumakonda and made a futile attempt to set it ablaze it. Neighbors and locals foiled the attempts of anti socials to set the house on fire.
Meanwhile, TRS cadres stoned a bus in which TDP workers are travelling as part the Naidu Rytu Poru Bata at Nallabelli in the Warangal district. The window panes of the bus were damaged, according to reports reaching Hyderabad. (JUBS)
