Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy today cancelled his tour of the Araku valley due to inclement weather.
Kirankumar reached Vishakhapatnam by a special helicopter but he was advised not to proceed further to the Araku valley as officials said the helicopter would not be able to land due to the unfavorable weather conditions prevailing there.
The chief minister was to have participated in the training and orientation programme being held for the MLAs and MLCs at Manyam in the valley.
The legislators numbering around 50 are touring the Araku valley for the last three days to know about the life styles and cultures of the tribals living there. On the second day on Tuesday, congress leader and mega star Chiranjeevi and Speaker Nadendla Manohar participated in the tribal dances and shook their legs along with the tribals in the ‘Dhimsa’ dance.
During the tour, the legislators were given lectures by historians on the culture of tribals and their life styles. (JUBS)
