After red carpet by TRS, Jagan fasts for second day

YSR Congress party president Mr Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy continued his limited version of fast at Armur in Nizamabad district on the second day today to highlight the farmers’ problems in the state.

Jagan effortlessly strode his way to Armur on Tuesday with the TRS resistance and opposition being almost nil to his road shows and 200 plus car-convoy’s journey to the Telangana town to undertake a 48-hour fast.

Jagan, supposed to have begun his fast around noon, ultimately began it around 7.30 pm as he reached Armur late in the evening. Amid tight security at the fasting camp, people including women and youngsters queued up to meet him and congratulate him on his fast.

Proving true the allegations of collusion between TRS and YSR Congress party, TRS cadres only protested nominally at one or two places allowing a palpable smooth ride for Jagan throughout his entire journey from his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad.

Not caring for the name sake protests of TRS cadres at a few places, Jagan reached Armoor making unscheduled stops at several places in Ranga Reddy, Medak and Nizamabad districts and addressing people on several issues.

Heavy security is in place near the hunger strike camp to prevent any untoward incident. (JUBS)
