Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy’s close confidante and MLC Mr Ranga Reddy today denied having ever said that Tollywood top hero Prince Mahesh Babu would enter politics.
Referring to reports in a section of the press quoting him as having said that Mahesh Babu would join Congress, Ranga Reddy clarified the statement given to the media two days ago.
“I never said Prince Mahesh would join the Congress or enter into politics. I only said since super star Krishna’s brother Seshagiri Rao is already an active member of the congress, a suitable position would be accorded to Mahesh Babu also if he joins the party,” Ranga Reddy clarified while participating in a TV channel debate.
Rejecting arguments and allegations that Congress leadership would use people first and then throw them away based on its ‘use and throw’ policy, Ranga Reddy said party leadership had given suitable posts to Dasari Narayana Rao and Daggubati Purandhareswari, daughter of the late legendary actor NTR.
“We will honour any person who joins the congress and I have given the statement with the same inference in case of Mahesh Babu,” he further clarified.
It may be recalled there are reports in a section of the press in the last two days that Kirankumar reddy has been aiming at bringing the Tollywood Prince into congress politics. (JUBS)
