YSR Congress party leader and MLA Ms. Konda Surekha today made fun of the disqualification proceedings initiated against her and other pro-Jagan congress MLAs by the Speaker Mr Nadendla Manohar.

Talking to media persons in Hyderabad, Surekha said the Speaker has been repeatedly asking them to provide explanation on their defying the whip during the no-confidence motion. “We are seeking disqualification but the Speaker has been repeatedly seeking explanation from us though we are not willing to give any explanation,” she said.

“We have once and for all decided not to provide any further explanation to the Speaker on the issue,” Surekha told journalists.

Speaking about the dismissal of Shankar Rao from the Cabinet, Surekha said he was ousted as he threatened to expose the corruption of Chief Minister and other ministers. “A CBI investigation must be ordered into charges of corruption against CM and other ministers,” she demanded.

Surekha also said that injustice has been done once again for Telangana in the expansion of the state cabinet. (JUBS)
