Finally, the controversy surrounding the portfolios of the new ministers C. Ramachandraiah and Ganta Srinivasa Rao is over.
Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy invited the newly inducted ministers for a breakfast meeting at his camp office this morning and discussed the issue of their portfolios.
The CM allotted Endowments department to Ramachandraiah and Infrastructure, Investments, natural gas, shipping and ports to Ganta Srinivasa Rao. Reports said the two PRP ministers had agreed to take up the allotted portfolios.
There are reports that the new ministers, backed by their party president Chiranjeevi, had demanded key portfolios including commercial taxes and electricity. Chiranjeevi also vehemently supported their demands.
With the today’s breakfast meeting, the issue was settled and both PRP ministers agreed to resume duties. (JUBS)
