Defending his criticism of the late chief minister YSR, TDP chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu said today he never called YSR a ‘forest pig’.
Clarifying his recent statements on YSR in a media conference in Hyderabad, Naidu observed he had only stated that YSR destroyed the state during his regime similar to a forest pig destroying a crop. “This is what I said of YSR but I never called him a forest pig,” he said.
Naidu further said he was ready for a discussion on the corruption of YSR. “No politician has caused as much destruction to the state as YSR had done and the state went back by 20 to 30 years in development thanks to YSR,” Naidu had alleged.
The former chief minister said while the late YSR had colluded with the former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy and destroyed the state through exploitation for personal and family gains, the present congress government had colluded with the TRS led by KCR on the issue of Polavaram Project tenders.
Chandrababu said he was only fighting against the corrupt policies of the government and not against any individuals. (JUBS)
