The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today filed a petition in the special CBI court requesting for permission to conduct `Narco Test’ on Vijay Sai Reddy. Reddy was the suspected to be the main brain and man-Friday behind the Y S R Congress Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Arrested in the EMAAR properties case, Reddy is considered as a tough nut to crack. It is quite some time since the CBI was trying to get some information from him. But its efforts seem to be in vain, as per online sources.
The court has postponed the hearing of the CBI request to January 30. Vijay Sai Reddy, the vice-chairman of Jagathi Publications Private Ltd, is in CBI custody, lodged in the Chanchalguda prison. The CBI counsel said the probing agency is yet to question Reddy on economic transactions abroad. The council also said that it filed a petition in the court seeking permission for conducting polygraph test on Reddy. Reddy was the considered kingpin in the illegal assets case of YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
It may be noted the court had earlier issued remand orders for detaining Reddy till January 31. The court also issued orders to the CBI to interrogate Reddy in the presence of his advocate between 10am-5pm only. The special court also gave permission to the Jail authorities to provide special class prison status to Vijay Sai Reddy following his plea. (With inputs from the Internet-AarKay)
