Kirankumar in Delhi to seek nod for cabinet expansion

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has arrived in Delhi today from Hyderabad to meet top Union Ministers and central congress leaders.

Sources said he will meet party president Sonia Gandhi, her political secretary Ahmad Patel, Union Ministers Pranab Mukherjee, Chidambaram and Ghulam Nabi Azad.

The CM is expected to discuss party and governmental affairs of AP and also seek permission for further expansion of the Cabinet. Kirankumar recently expanded his cabinet by inducting two members of the erstwhile PRP only a few days ago.

He will now seek the permission of the high command to go for a full cabinet expansion or expand the cabinet at least by inducing three ministers from the Telangana region to fill the existing vacancies.

As Kirankumar landed in Delhi, most of the aspirants looking for Cabinet berths are on tenterhooks. They are anxiously awaiting the result of CM’s visit to Delhi. In fact no one is sure whether Kirankumar reddy will get limited permission to fill up the three vacant posts from Telangana or he will be given a free hand to go for a full cabinet reshuffle dropping at least five ministers and inducting a dozen others.
