The morning sessions of the assembly in Andhra Pradesh were postponed by half an hour. The oppositions gathered around the Speaker Nadendla Manohar’s podium and created pandemonium. The elected representatives got angry when the speaker rejected their pleas on various impending issues. In spite of the Speaker requesting for silence and allowing the assembly to be conducted, the Telugu Desam Party and the Telanga Rashtra Samithi leaders paid no heed. They raised slogans and created a chaotic situation in the house.
Earlier as the opposition parties individually planned to propose adjournment on several issues that they felt needed imminent action. The TRS and the Bharatiya Janata Party wanted to discuss about the separate Telangana state. While the CPM wanted to bring out about the drought relief plan. The CPI on the other hand wanted to discuss about the various conditions on employment assurance program. But the Speaker is said to have summarily rejected all the adjournment motions set by the opposition which led to the chaotic situation on Thursday, in the assembly.
