Finally the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had verbally declared at the CLP meeting in Hyderabad on Thursday, That YSR Congress Party and Telugu Desam Party are equal oppositions to the Congress. He further said that the leaders of both the parties, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu respectively were foes to the ruling party. The fact we knew long back has now been affirmed by the CM. The CLP meeting which was widely speculated to be chaotic went on very peacefully. Political speculators revealed that the CM and the PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana might be put in embarrassing corners with questions about their growing tiff, but nothing untoward happened.
Several party legislators openly asked the leadership why they are shying away from criticizing Mr Jagan when he was bent on destroying the Congress in state. The Chirala Legislator, Mr Amanchi Krishna Mohan, said an impression had spread across the state that the Congress leadership and several ministers are ignoring criticism against the YSRC Chief, which is not in the interests of the party. At that stage, the Chief Minister intervened and announced that Mr Jagan will be treated as a political opponent of the Congress like Mr Naidu, and there is no question of sparing anymore.
On the other hand with just a handful of legislators and mindful of cases against him, the YSRC Chief seems to have gained a special status with being equated to Babu, by the Congress. One issue that needs to be mentioned out here, is the young leader, who was supposed to be a novice among these stalwarts has created special identity for himself. Will this identity take him to his dream chair or not is worth watching. (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
