The Congress MP Manda Jagannatham-who was one of the suspended MPs-has said that the Congress MPs from Telangana region were not against the high command. He has stressed that they were not disobeying the Congress high command.
Briefing the media, Manda has said that the MPs were trying to preserve the Congress party in Telangana region. He has also said that the signs of the uprooting of the Congress party were visible. Also, Manda Jagannatham said the MPs would go ahead with the movement without thinking of the disciplinary actions that the high command would be taking against them.
The MPs would leave for Delhi tomorrow and would decide the future course of action, the MP said. It may be recalled that MPs from Telangana region created ruckus in the house on bifurcation issue and were suspended by the Congress party for four days last week. Although they were eligible to enter the house on Monday, the MPs boycotted the Parliament.
Meanwhile, the union home minister P Chidambaram-in a press meet-has said that the Centre would come out with a solution to the problem at the earliest and requested the MPs not to halt the proceeding. (Phani)
