The AICC political observer to Andhra Pradesh, Vayalar Ravi who arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday has cleared the rumours that are rife over the change in the top leadership in the state after the bypolls to 18 assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha constituency. Vayalar Ravi has said that there would no change in the leadership even after the elections. Many people and even media has speculated earlier that AICC was not happy with Kiran Kumar Reddy as the chief minister besides there was also a rift between the chief minister and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana.
Talking on the campaigning to by-elections, Vayalar Ravi said the campaigning was satisfactory. It could have been better, he added. Mr. Ravi exuded confidence that the party would win at least a couple of seats in by-polls. He has also said that the impact on Congress party would be zero with two are three members of Congress leaving the party for joining YSR Congress.
Recalling the incidents, Vayalar Ravi has said that he had come to take part in the last rites of YSR even though his wife expired. Answering to one of the questions, Vayalar Ravi has said that CBI probe on Jagan is underway only on the instruction of the court. It would not be appropriate if CBI probe is linked to Congress, he said.
Will Vayalar Ravi’s confidence come true? Will Congress draw couple of seats in bypolls? One should wait and watch for another couple of days. Although these are bypolls, they are looking like general elections and entire nation is curiously looking at AP over the political developments. So, anything that happens in the state would definitely become a major news in the national media.
