The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) of the state that woke up to a strong jolt from a private bus accident near Shirdi, severely dealt with discrepancies of the private bus operators. The surprise raids conducted by the department reached the seventh day today. Irrespective of a Sunday or a Monday, RTA had started its surprise raids since mid of last night. RTAsuspended operations of 8 buses in Khammam, Bhadrachalam and Medak districts after some discrepancies were detected.
It may be noted aftermath to the various accidents in the state, RTA in Andhra Pradesh have intensified their operations to curb the discrepancies in the private players. They conducted raids on several offices of private travels, Schools and colleges. They have inspected the various buses held by the offices for transportation. The department also conducted vigil at various vantage points like Hyderabad, Vizag and Vijayawada, to name a few. They have seized variuos vehicles and suspended erring operators services too.
