The ministers and leaders from Rayalaseema region have been trying for quite sometime for getting   autonomous status.  A minister has apparently written to the concerned department over the same recently. A file has reportedly moved over the same. So, the experts said that Srisailam is likely to get autonomous state. If that happens,  Saivakshetras (Shiva temples) in Nallamalla forest range would come under Srisailam temple administration.
