YSR Congress party honorary president, Y S Vijayalakshmi has left for Delhi on Tuesday. She was accompanies by several YSR Congress leaders. If buzz is to be believed, Vijayamma is going to seek support from national leaders to pitch their voice against the arrest of her son and Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy. The sources said Vijayamma will meet the prime minister Manmohan Singh and opposition leaders and elucidate the problems being faced by the farmers. Also, she is likely to throw light on the increased prices of essential commodities.

It may be noted that farmers in the state have been facing problems apparently due to low voltage and frequent power cuts. The political observers were of the opinion that increase in the prices of essential commodities and farmers' problems were two main reasons for Congress party's defeat in bypolls.
