Pvt buses not to ply on roads

The private bus owners have decided to stop operating private buses between cities in the wake of RTA officials' act of seizing the buses. The private bus owners' association wrote a formal letter to the government, which stated that they won't run the buses and similarly don't pay the permit fee. Usually, private operators pay permit fees once in every three months to the government. While private buses were given permission as just contract carriers (to carry passengers from one fixed point to another point), the buses were found to be halting at everyother place acting as stage carriage buses.

Irked over the same, the RTA officials seized hundreds of buses in several districts of the state. Unlike earlier, where the officials used to slap a fine, the buses were produced before the court. Some buses were said to be still in the court and this apparently disturbed the private bus operators. On the otherhand, if a bus will be produced before the court twice, there will be chances of  owners getting punished.
