The deputy chief minister Damodara Rajanarasimha has visited Telangana University in Nizamabd on Tuesday. On seeing the deputy CM, the students at the university displayed placards as a sign of protest. They demanded Rajanarasimha to solve their problems with immediate effect. The deputy chief minister, who reacted to the agitation of the students, has granted Rs. 20 crore additional funds for the development of the university.
Also, he warned of stringent action in case any university official indulges in irregularites while appointing the university professors while filling up other vacancies. He has exuded confidence that a clear statement would be made on Telangana after the presidential election.
