The union minister of state for HRD, Daggubati Purandareshwari made sensational statements in Vishakapatnam this morning. She reminded people that her father was allegedly thrown out of the party. She reminded the people that NTR was the founder of Telugu Desam Party and the symbol of NTR's party was 'lion.' She even reiterated that NTR, the founder of TDP, was allegedly thrown out of the party. It may be noted that the current president of TDP, Chandrababu Naidu contested against his father-in-law NT Rama Rao in 1995. NTR was toppled out of the party and when he formed NTR Telugu Desam Party late NTR was alloted Lion symbol while Naidu retained the bicycle symbol.
Purandareshwari made this statements at Vishakapatnam railway station where she flagged off a new train, which will shuttle between Vishakapatnam-Mumbai Lokamanya Tilak terminal this morning in Vishakapatnam. She has also said that she would make sure that the trains between Shirdi-Vishakapatnam and Vishakapatnam-Chennai are flagged off soon. Further, she said she would try and allocate more funds for East Coast Railway. It may be noted that Purandareshwari is the MP from Congress party and the daughter of legendary politician and TDP founder, late NT Rama Rao.
Answering to the questions of the reporters on Balakrishna's entry into the politics, Purandareshwari has said that Balakrishna's entry into politics was a matter related to their party.
