YSR Congress Party today expressed that the Minor Irrigation Minister T. G. Venkatesh needs medical guidance over his mental state. YSRCP leaders Gurunadha Reddy and Mohan Reddy firmly disagreed with the Minister’s statement that leaders who do not work must be shot dead. They also questioned him that almost 50 percent of the present governments are not working, what should be done with them? They added that the quotes of the Minister will send wrong signals to the public. The YSRCP leaders also felt that the Minister must recall his comments and must apologize to the IAS officers. Going by the trends the YSRCP leaders felt that the Minister might need some medical help to get him cured.
Earlier Mr Venkatesh accused the bureaucrats of stalling development and returning the files with queries. Those who did not do any service, be they government officers or political leaders supporting them needed no mercy and should be shot, he had reportedly said. (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
