The online medical counseling in the state for the admissions into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) for the academic year 2012-13. This is the first phase counseling at four online centres in the state.  The EAMCET second ranker, Pavan Kumar has opted the MBBS seat (non-local) at prestigious Osmania Medical College (OMC) in Hyderabad. He attended the counseling at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada where he has opted the seat.

The counseling, which has started today, will conclude by the end of the day. However, the counseling will be conducted on several dates till July 27 to fill 3,880 MBBS seats and 1131 BDS seats. The students attending the online counseling have told Andhra Wishesh that online counseling was much swift and sophisticated compared to tradition counseling method.
