Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) executive director, Koteshwara Rao has inaugurated a new city bus depot at Bandlaguda area (near Nagole) of Hyderabad on Wednesday. He has said that this new depot would meet the ever increasing demands of the passenger in and around Nagole junction.
Notably, Bandlaguda bus depot was built with a cost of twenty crore rupees. Speaking on how to cope up with the losses of a/c buses plying in twin cities, he has also said that a special committee would be set up, which would tour Bengaluru and file a report. Based on that report, the RTC would look into the issue and make necessary changes.
Further, he has said that the RTC has decided to come up with ten new bus depots on the outskirts of Hyderabad. It may be noted that RTC was not able to meet the demands of passengers. Almost every bus will be packed with passengers and that's the reason, many people especially on the outskirts of the city are preferring shared autos and cabs. The RTC, in order to put a check to the same, is all set to expand its services in the city.
