Own TV, paper mantra for success in 2014

Looks like finally Congress had hit upon a master plan to regain back power in the 2014 general elections. Going by the trends a panel that foresees the campaign for the party has suggested that Congress chances could be brighter if a own Television Channel and a news paper are started.  So going to the electorate through the most popular media  route is planned in the Congress camp.

The panel, headed by roads and buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and consisting of 10 members, submitted its primary report to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday. And apart from 34 recommendations for rebuilding the party image and 17 new schemed to get more public patronage, this one seems to have topped the charts.

The committee formed just last month to strengthen the party had recommended nearly 100 constituencies travel for each elected member every month. Other vital recommendations were installation of statues of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at important places in the state. Renaming policies and benefit schemes. The committee also sounded alarm bells of the growing indifference in the Congress camp, while suggesting that the senior leaders must forget the differences. Another novel idea was to provide the `Thali' for the poor couples. Also the extension of the beneficiaries of the Arogyasri was also suggested. On the whole Congress is seriously contemplating for a change over with eyes set on 2014 electorate. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
