Srikakulam: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is in the district for the second day. He is participating in the welfare schemes initiated by the government as a part of 'Indiramma bata.'

Chirala: In a tragic incident, over a verbal duel husband attacks wife and daughter with a pounding rod. Wife succumbs and daughter is critical. The incident occurred in the Gananivaripalem village of the district.

Nellore: Over 300 labour of ReGen Powertech have resorted to strike today. The workers wanted the management to reinstate another worker Shiva Teja, who was dismissed for forming an union. ReGen Powertech is situated in the APIIC Industrial Park of Mambattu Village, Tada Mandal in the district.

West Godavari District: Woman was hurt while competing in physical tests for Police recruitment. She tripped over and lost her balance. In the process had a fracture. On site authorities have immediately rushed her to hospital for treatment. Police recruitment camps were held in Eluru.

Bhuvanagiri: Broken railway track, keeps trains away. Traffic on Secuderabad-Kazipet has been affected when a key-man (railway track labour) noticed a cracked track and instantly alerted the authorities. Necessary repairs are taken on a war footing but several trains are delayed . The  track might be restored shortly.
