Former minister Shankar Rao, who questioned as to why home minister Sabita Indra Reddy was not arrested, has met the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Delhi today. The sources said that Shankar Rao complained against chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana. According to the sources, Shankar Rao alleged that Kiran became a covert of Jagan. Further, he apparently appealed to her to accept the resignation of Dharmana Prasada Rao.
It may be recalled that Shankar Rao earlier wrote letter to the Congress high command after YSR Congress came out with flying colours in the by-elections. He then said that it was not the defeat of Congress party but the defeat of Kiran sarkar. Will Sonia Gandhi consider Shankar Rao's request and change the chief minister of the state? If yes, then who would get the chance to adorn the seat are widely discussed topics. The political observers opined that Congress party in the state is facing criticism from all sections of the society regarding many burning problems. Before people take any resolution of not voting for Congress in 2014, the observers opined that Chiranjeevi should be made the chief minister. There are many merits for Congress in case Chiru adorns CM seat, they added.
