TDP wants white dox on Power crisis

Telugu Desam Party wanted the ruling Congress, to issue a white paper on the power situation in the state. The major opposition wanted to know the actual situation the state is going through at the moment in the power segment.  TDP leader Ravula Chandrasekar Reddy today addressed media and openly asked the Congress government to issue a white paper on the issue. The leader also slammed the ruling party leaders of camping at the nation's capital neglecting the problems of the people in the state.

He said Congress leaders were lobbying for power by trying to influence the Congress High Command in New Delhi and hence spent more time there. It was a disgrace that the  crucial power department did not have a minister of its own. This reckoned the leader only showed the carelessness of the ruling party. He said the leaders of the ruling party must convene the assembly which is on a long leave dud to the leaders camping at the capital. He added that the convened assembly must find a solution for the frequent power outages that has ruined many in the state.

Power outages have been a common across the state. While the cities are bearing the brunt of three hour power outage, the Corporations have 5 hours and towns have 6 hours power cuts. The worst are the villages which do not have power for nearly 12 hours from 6 am – 6pm. This the plan envisaged by the government to tide over the crisis.

The most worst hit are the industries that are to get power for three days in a week, with Sunday considered as holiday. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
